Invitation of Technical and Financial (double envelope system) Bid for Interior work of Central Blood Transfusion. Service, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu

1. Nepal Red Cross Society, with the support from Thai Rod Cross, has allocated funds towards the cost of Interior work of Central Blood Transfusion Service, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract. Bidding is open to all eligible Bidders. Nepal Red Cross Society invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction of Interior work of Central Blood Transfusion Service, Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu under National Competitive Bidding procedures.

Only eligible bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

A. Minimum Average Annual Construction Turnover of the past 3 years: NRs. 15,000,000.00 

B. Minimum Interior work experience of: One project value not less than NRs. 15,000,000.00 in the last five (5) years.

C. Bidders should have following specific experience.

• Flooring work (Carpet Parquet Tiles/Granite) 285 Sq. Mir. 
• Plywood paneling work of 90 Sq. Mir.

2. A complete set of Bidding Documents can be purchased from Procurement Management Section, Nepal Red Cross Society, NHQ, Red Cross Marg, Kalimati, Kathmandu by eligible Bidders on the submission of a written application, along with the copy of company/firra registration certificate and VAT Certificate, and against payment of a non-refundable fee of NRs 3,000.00 (Three Thousand) till 26 March 2024. 3. Sealed bids must be submitted to Nepal Red Cross Society, NHQ, Red Cross Marg, Kalimani, Kathmandu on or before 27 March 2024 during office hours with copies of af required updated legal documents and all other related documents.

4. The Technical sealed bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at 12:36 pas on 28 March 2024 at the office of Procurement and Management Section, Nepal Red Cross Society, Red Cross Road, Kalimati, Kathmandu. The bid will be opened in specified time and date even if the bidders' representative fails to attend in the bid opening due to any reasons, Bids must be valid for a period of 90 days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a bid security, amounting to a min mum of 2.5% of total quoted value including 13% VAT, which shall be valid for 120 days beyond the validity period of the bid. Financial bids of technically qualified bidders only be opened after evaluation of technical bids.

5. If the last date of purchasing and for submission falls on a government holiday, then the next working day shall be considered as the last date. In such cases the validity period of the bid security shall remain the same as specified for the original last date of bid submission.

6. The Employer reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, without thereby incurring any eligibility to Bidders.

7. Any additional information regarding the tenders can be obtained from the office of NRCS during office hours. If you request additional information, we would endeavor to provide information expeditiously, but any delay in providing such information will not be considered a reason for extending the submission date of the bids.

8. Other terms and conditions will be as per NRCS, Financial and Procurernent rule and regulations.
