The Itiyahi-Chiljhapati-Phulbairya Road of the Bara district under Component 1.2 (Periodic maintenance of existing Provincial Roads and Bridges) for the preservation of the existing infrastructure and retrofitting these infrastructures to make them climate resilient. The road passes through Bishrampur Rural Municipality and Pheta Rural Municipality of Bara District, connecting Birgunj at the starting point, intersects the Nagma-Bishrampur-Musaharwa-Kantipur-Barainiya-Chatwa-Khekharia Road at Ch. 5+740, and ends at Gamhariya Chowk of the Pheta Rural Municipality. The road starts from Itiyahi, Ward no. 5 of the Bishrampur Rural Municipality (Coordinate: 27°00'11.46" N and 84°53'38.88" E, Elevation: 104 m) and ends at Gamahariya Chowk, Ward no. 4 of Pheta Rural Municipality (Coordinate: 26°59’20.43” N and 84°57’52.24” E, Elevation: 109 m). The road connects Bishrampur Rural Municipality Ward no. 5 and Pheta Rural Municipality Ward no. 4. The land use along the road alignment consists of agricultural land and settlements (Figures 1 and 2). The road passes through different settlements like Itiyahi, Chiljhapati, Phulbariya, Jotpur, and Gamahariya. The total length of the proposed road is 8.820 km.
